-CO2 +NATURE: THE EQUATION OF THE FUTURE!

On Saturday 25 March 2023 at 20.30 local time, Earth Hour returns: the global event organised by the WWF, which since 2007 has invited people all over the world to switch off their lights for an hour. The aim is to show, through this symbolic gesture, how strong the impact of a shared action to save the Planet can be.

It is precisely the equation -CO2 +Nature = Future that is the message chosen by the WWF to invite citizens, communities and companies to turn off the lights and dedicate an hour to positive action for the future of our fragile Planet. Earth Hour is a collective hymn to the beauty and fragility of the Planet and a cry to stop its destruction.

Millions of people in more than 190 countries will thus give life to The Biggest Hour for Earth, with the aim of transforming this single hour into millions of actions and moments of awareness of the risks linked to the impacts of climate change. Countries around the world are already preparing, involving hundreds of local influencers and celebrities ready to show their support and organising a series of events.

The WWF in Italy has activated its entire network of volunteers and oases in the territory, who will switch off monuments in major cities and organise initiatives and events. The central Italian event will take place on Saturday 25 March in Rome, 8.30 p.m. at the Colosseum, and a special guest will be present at the switch-off, to be unveiled on that very occasion.
